Cookie Policy
This policy explains how TTR Calc uses cookies and browser storage at ttrscorecalculator.com.
Current browser storage
TTR Calc currently uses localStorage rather than traditional HTTP cookies. localStorage stays in your browser until you clear it or update your choices.
TTR Calc does not load analytics scripts, advertising scripts, social pixels, or third-party marketing tags.
Multiplayer rooms use a browser-local player ID in localStorage. It is required for room participation, score saving, reveal confirmation, leaving a room, and recent room history. It is not used for advertising or analytics tracking in Phase 3.
The calculator can also remember the last custom player name in localStorage so new score sheets and multiplayer join forms can reuse it.
Storage categories
| Category | Status | Storage | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Always active | localStorage: ttr-calc.cookie-consent | Stores your cookie consent choices and supports core site operation. | Until you clear browser storage or update your choices. |
| Necessary | Always active for multiplayer | localStorage: ttrCalc.playerId | Recognizes the same browser as a room participant for multiplayer actions and recent rooms. | Until you clear browser storage. |
| Preferences | Active after you enter a custom player name | localStorage: ttrCalc.playerName | Remembers the last custom player name for new score sheets and multiplayer join forms. | Until you clear browser storage, reset the calculator, or save the default player name. |
| Preferences | Optional | localStorage: ttr-calc.theme | Stores your selected theme mode when you allow preferences. | Until you clear browser storage, change theme, or disable preferences. |
| Analytics | Inactive | None currently. | Reserved for future privacy-conscious traffic measurement. No analytics scripts are active now. | Not applicable while inactive. |
| Marketing | Inactive | None currently. | Reserved for future advertising support. No advertising scripts are active now. | Not applicable while inactive. |
Server logs
Server access logs are separate from cookie consent. Caddy logs may include IP address, date and time, requested URL, user-agent, response status, and referrer. They are used for security, diagnostics, traffic statistics, and analysis of site operation, and are retained for 90 days.
Changing your choices
Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept all categories, reject non-essential categories, or customize optional storage. You can also clear browser storage from your browser settings.
Disabling preferences prevents future theme persistence and removes the stored theme value when the theme is changed without preferences consent.
Clearing browser storage also removes the multiplayer player ID. After that, the browser may no longer be recognized as the same participant in existing rooms. Public share links and QR codes do not include the player ID.
